Flag Football
Colonie Pop Warner will soon be accepting registration for the 200 Flag Football Program that is intended to provide an opportunity for players (ages 5-7) to learn and improve their flag football skills and to learn the fundamentals of football.
We strongly encourage any 7 year old new to our program to have one year of flag football before tackling.
The season will last approximately 3 months beginning on August 3, 2009 and ending October 19, 2009. Practice can be held every Monday through Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the month of August at Rossellevile School, 100 California Avenue, and Colonie.
Attendance is mandatory.
- Flag coaches will give you the exact practice schedule.
- Each flag teams plays 6 flag games (usually 3 at home and 3 traveling games).
- Games will be played on Saturday mornings. You will get a game schedule in late August.
Tackle Football
Colonie Pop Warner will soon be accepting registration for the 2009 Tackle Football Program (Mitey Mite through Midget Level Play) This program is intended to provide an opportunity for players to learn and improve their football skills.
The season will last approximately 3 ½ months beginning on Monday, August 3, 2009 and may be ending around November 30, 2009 (if a team goes into post-season). Practice is held every Monday through Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the month of August at Roessleville School, 100 California Avenue, Colonie.
Attendance is mandatory.
- Games will be played on either Saturdays or Sundays (depending on the division).
- There may be post season play involved, that may involve additional costs to each participating family.
